Bulky Waste to Wonder
1 October 2024
The Public Hygiene Council (PHC)’s Bulky Waste to Wonder (BWTW) Competition encourages youths to redesign or repurpose used bulky furniture into functional items. This will inspire or educate others to adopt a sustainable lifestyle to help reduce bulky waste disposal.
The inaugural competition in 2023 received close to 30 entries from eight secondary schools, and included a design workshop where students could learn from industry partners on how to design furniture, ergonomics, material characteristics and colour psychology.
