Discover Tanjong Pagar (DTP), a pilot Business Improvement District comprising property and business owners, came together to drive the transformation of Tanjong Pagar into a more connected and vibrant district through placemaking.
With the support of URA and other agencies as well as community partners, DTP enhanced pedestrian connections, pledged to plant 100 trees over five years, adopted an open space and turned it into a beautiful community green for activities, raised funds for the under-privileged, and supported hawkers and other small businesses through the pandemic.
One of DTP’s latest efforts is the setting up of an inclusive eco-playground made of upcycled wood from felled old trees, and designed in collaboration with stakeholders in Tanjong Pagar. The creative features promote multi-generation learning and interaction, making the eco-playground a popular spot for all to gather and unwind.
