Teck Yu has shown commitment to help residents resolve issues to do with their estate living, such as the ongoing littering problems. He has also installed hand grills for elderly residents to prevent them from falling.

Teck Yu acts as a role model by picking up litter and taking the time to explain good hygiene practices to residents and advising them to keep the estate clean. He went the extra mile to reduce pigeon problems in the estate as well. He did so by installing wire string on the parapet and giving the residents good advice on setting up mesh around the units’ air conditioner areas to prevent pigeons from nesting at the area. Besides giving advice, he also arranged for workers to install the mesh for the residents.

In particular, he has often shown empathy towards the elderly, assisting them in repairing broken tiles, a faulty fire alarm system, and broken rubbish chute.
